Who We Are

For nearly 40 years  Ed Davis, President and Owner of Systems Support Group, Inc. (SSGI) has helped many companies address and solve their Information Technology needs by constantly demonstrating his leadership, knowledge, experience by supporting a cost-effective, results-driven philosophy. He started the company in 1983 to provide full service for computer systems to small businesses in Connecticut. The systems ranged from designing, purchasing, installation, training, maintenance, and programming, and were primarily multiuser oriented, but he also installed single-user systems.

From the outset, Ed Davis expertise was to help educate business owners on how to use technology to grow their business by being more effective and efficient in managing their day-to-day workflow.

SSGI has a series of firsts: first small business multiuser systems; first systems with hard drives; first color monitors; first CD players; first Windows-based computers; first laser printers; first systems with bundled office productivity software.

As the business progressed at the turn of the 21st century, SSGI obtained larger clients, including Visiting Nurse Associations and the companies that provide software to VNAs. This led to SSGI an understanding of the health care industry and its regulations such as HIPPA.

Today, SSGI provides IT support in six core competency areas: Cloud, Communications, Hardware, Managed IT Services, Mobile, and Security.

Ed also provides a virtual CIO service by advising and supporting his clients in: Business operations, staffing needs, managing staff, and evaluating current and future needs, along with recommending IT products and services to sustain growth and maintain operations.

As the company grew, it hired technology experienced specialists who are able to support the needs of clients from all areas.

To keep up with changes to technology, Systems Support Group is ever-evolving:

Utilization of a RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) system to enable 24x7x365 monitor of clients’ IT infrastructure.

Providing services to help clients meet current security and compliance requirements.

Use of an industry-leading ticketing system to best provide quick support to our clients.

Ensures the proper level of staff resources to support the needs of a larger client base.

Responds and contributes to industry blogs and articles.

Attends vendor training on new and future IT-related products.

Provides ongoing training via seminars and webinars.

Are members of the FBI Infragard program in support of private and public cybersecurity.
